  • Usui Reiki is a form of energy healing with a long history going back to ancient practices in Tibet, then to Japan, and finally to the West. There are other traditions of Reiki that have developed under the umbrella of Usui Reiki. All Reiki traditions however, are based on the principle that energy surrounds us everywhere. By placing the hands on or slightly above an individual or directing the energy remotely, the Reiki practitioners are able to channel energy to the recipient’s energy centers, or chakras,, and help to remove blockages that interfere with the free flow of energy. Reiki produces relaxation, aids in stress reduction, and may reduce pain. Reiki is not a religion, nor is it witchcraft!

  • Tucson Reiki Wellness is unique in that both Reiki Masters usually will conduct the Reiki session together on people and pets, producing a much stronger energetic effect. We also come to you, letting you enjoy your Reiki session in the comfort of your own home, allowing you to fully relax afterwards.

    Additionally, Tucson Reiki Wellness works with businesses, hospices, nursing homes, and in other community settings to provide Reiki to individuals or groups.

  • Yes. Energy is transmitted between individuals no matter if there is a distance of a centimeter or 2000 miles between you and the Reiki practitioners. Some people derive great comfort and relaxation from distance Reiki.

    Distance Reiki sessions are conducted via Google Meet (our preferred platform), FaceTime, or Zoom using your computer or mobile phone. It is helpful for Vicki and Kate to be able to see you during the entire session to form a strong connection.

  • In a group setting, Vicki and Kate channel Reiki energy at the same time. Many people report that this creates a deeper sense of immersion as they share in a supportive healing environment.

    After briefly orienting the participants to the session, we offer hands-on or hands hovering Reiki as people comfortably sit in a chair or lay on a yoga mat. Soothing music is softly played as each person in the group receives Reiki for several minutes. Participants are encouraged to adjust or leave if needed.

  • Reiki for pets is a gentle, non-invasive complementary practice that can assist your animals reduce their stress, promote relaxation, support their emotional well-being, and provide comfort during illness, recovery, or aging. Animals typically are sensitive to the calm presence and intention of the Reiki practitioners.

    Tucson Wellness Reiki provides Reiki for your animals… dogs, cats, even horses. The 1 hour session includes time to establish a rapport with the animal. Then, following the lead of the animal, the practitioners conduct the Reiki session with their hands on and/or off the animal. We have found some animals settle in quickly and immediately enjoy Reiki, while others need time to get used to our quiet hands - asking us with their body language “Why aren’t they petting me?”

  • Tucson Reiki Wellness offers Usui Reiki Levels 1-3 trainings and Advanced Symbols training.

    Level 1- learn either in-person or online the fundamentals of Usui Reiki and practice self-Reiki.

    Level 2- practice giving Reiki to others, learn distance Reiki and Reiki for Pets.

    Level 3 - learn to be an Usui Reiki Master Teacher and acquire practical tips on starting a Reiki business.

    Refresher classes are offered for each training with proof of previous certification at that level.

    Advanced SymbolsTraining is offered to students who have completed Level 1 and 2 trainings. Your intuitive Reiki skills will be heightened for yourself and others as a result.
